Michel Brosseau was born in Nantes and divides his time between Brussels and Cap Ferret in France.

The holder of degrees in both law and science, Michel worked as a journalist for a few years before returning to his first love of painting.

He is best known for his superb paintings of marine subjects - often sails in close-up, giving an almost abstract quality to the canvas, boats, buoys and the sea itself but he is also a highly skilled painter of animals, particularly horses and a decorative interior painter with many prestigious commissions to his credit. Michel has exhibited widely in the United States and Continental Europe.
