GEOFFREY HUBAND (British, born 1945)

Geoffrey Huband was born in the English county of Worcestershire in 1945, and studied at Stourbridge College of Art and Victoria College, Manchester University. After a spell teaching, he moved to Cornwall in 1970 to paint full-time; its rugged coastline has inspired his marine paintings throughout a career that has seen him commissioned by collectors worldwide and his paintings included in numerous private collections.

Geoffrey Huband's best-known works are perhaps the cover paintings for Alexander Kent's superb Richard Bolitho series of novels. Six of these images have now been issued as highest-quality Limited Edition Prints and are available for purchase through our secure site in this Gallery.

The artist has also painted for the covers of the Douglas Reeman books - Alexander Kent is the nom de plume of Douglas Reeman. Geoffrey Huband still lives and paints in a small village in Cornwall where the county and coast continue to enrich and inform his art.
